We do our best to organise well in advance but sometimes things won’t work out the way we planned them, and we will need to try something different.
Our team is a big one, with lots of moving parts. If you can’t make it to a shift we appreciate as much notice as possible so we can make other plans.

Disaster recovery can be hard, we will support you but it’s good if you know how to keep your chin up and keep smiling.
We are looking for reliable people who can work together as part of a team, we ask that you commit to your rostered shifts, and that you follow our code of conduct that outlines how we will work together respectfully. You will need to follow the directions of your team leader, and always keep yourself and others safe. You may be asked to undertake a criminal record check depending on the work you will be doing.
If you’re a Working Holiday Maker (WHM), you can count your work assisting in the recovery from natural disasters—as ‘specified work’. When volunteering with Resilient Lismore, please submit your visa application number and passport number in your application, so we can include it in the necessary documentation after your volunteer time with us. You will need to keep a detailed diary of each day you work. For more information about visa requirements, you can check out this link: Work and Holiday Visa Specified Work.
from the moment Samaritans Purse stepped into the Hub, we felt embraced and were treated as if we belonged. Our heartfelt thanks for all your support and the care and compassion you showed. We hope the small impact we have had in the community you obviously all care deeply about will help to continue the healing.

Thank you for your patience and care and for making every day so much fun. You all made this visa process enjoyable. I’ve learned so much from you but my most memorable lesson has been in how to truly show up for my community. Thank you
