Disaster Recovery and Preparedness: Voices of children and young people from the Northern Rivers was launched by NSW Advocate for Children and Young People Zoë Robinson alongside a panel of young people at the Disaster Ready Together Summit in Lismore on Thursday 8 March, 2024. This report reflects what 635 children and young people told ACYP about their experiences of disaster recovery, preparedness and their hopes for the future. The report includes a number of recommendations on policy and practice reforms that they believe will improve recovery and preparedness responses for all children and young people in NSW.
