Resilient Lismore is looking for someone to fill a part-time (24 hours per week) contract position created to support the community by providing face to face support, referrals and information as part of our community-led disaster recovery programs.
This position will support Resilient Lismore’s aim to help residents to get back home, provide referrals to outside agencies and identify needs as required.
The role includes essential supervision of volunteers working in the Hub at 215 Keen St, Lismore and will assist with the delivery of Resilient Lismore’s community recovery and rebuild projects.

P/T Contract 24 hrs per week – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
$35 per hour plus super and leave loading- 12 month contract – with possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities
Front of House
Supervise and support the operations of the front of house and concierge desk at the Resilient Lismore Hub, including supervision of volunteers and students.
Engage with community members seeking assistance as required, provide intake and referral assistance and advice.
Deliver training to ensure new volunteers and staff receive an appropriate and comprehensive induction for front of house roles.
Manage administration and record keeping as directed by the Operations Manager.
Build job lists and support rebuild volunteers under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Field Coordinator and the Recovery Coordinator
Coordinate management of large groups of volunteers and corporate volunteers, with support from other team members.
Respond to enquiries from potential volunteers and screen for role fit and suitability.
Help arrange accommodation, transport and reimbursement for staff and volunteers as required
Manage RL Hub rosters and work with Operations Manager to implement a system for volunteer time sheets.
Manage RL volunteer communication and organising platforms
Ensure volunteers are looked after and treated with respect and allocated appropriate tasks.
Assist the Project Management team with task management and coordination as required using the RL project management platform using Monday.com
Assist the Events Coordinator with event management as necessary
Monitor Resilient Lismore general email and respond accordingly.
Donations Coordination
Action incoming donation offers made via email, social media and in person
Maintain accurate records of all donations, including tracking the type and quantity of donations received and location of goods.
Coordinate the collection, storage, and distribution of donations.
Ensure that donations are distributed fairly and equitably to those in need.
Promote Resilient Lismore’s mission and donation efforts through outreach and communication with the community.
Provide regular reports to the Operations Manager on the status of donations and any issues that arise.
Manage and submit Givit Applications for flood affected community members.
Administer brokerage alongside the Wellbeing Coordinator ensuring equitable distribution.
Volunteer Management
Assist with Volunteer Management under the guidance of the Operations Manager and Executive Director as required until recruitment for a Volunteer Coordinator is completed.

Reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with other team members.

Skills/Experience
Strong organisational and communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in or the ability to learn Monday.com and other digital platforms used by Resilient Lismore
Experience in an administration / office environment
Experience with working with vulnerable and marginalised people
Volunteer Management / Team Leadership
Understanding of Risk Management and WH&S
Connected to the community and sound knowledge of community service
Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, staff, and community members and agencies.
Highly Desirable:
Cert IV in Community Services or equivalent experience in non profit community organisations.
